Streamer- An elongated mass of luminous matter

What a better way to start a blog about streamer patterns, then open with Kelly Galloup's Sex Dungeon pattern. Large is an understatement when describing this fly. The fly is very effective, but I believe the name keeps people away from some using it seriously. Making it an articulate fly, use a size 4 4X long hook and trailing a size 6 4X long hook. This fly resembles much more than a small bait fish. It appears to be a meal that would last a 20+ inch trout a week. It is comprised of the entire kitchen sink with zonker strips, rubber legs, ice dubbing, spun deer hair, lead eyes, and large hackle feathers.
A few tips for those trying to tie the pattern: Use a braided fishing line to attach the two hooks together. Braided line is smaller and more powerful, making it easier to thread the hook eye. To push the hackle towards the back, I periodically do a few wraps with ice dubbing over the hackle while pulling it back. For the spun deer hair, make sure the stacker is big enough to hold a lot of deer hair. If you have too small of clump, it will fail to spin around the entire hook. I like using scissors better than a razor for trimming the deer hair. Its easier to get more precise with the cuts as long as your scissors are not dull. Good Luck!
